Indonesian Kratom Ban

Updated: Jul 30, 2019

Kratom is at a very pivotal point right now as the Trump FDA has convinced the Minister of Health in Indonesia to enact a ban on all kratom farms and the exportation of kratom from Indonesia. Kratom farmers have been given 5 years to come into compliance until the ban is in full effect and have issued warnings about exporting kratom from Indonesia.

If this ban goes into full effect the consequence will be felt throughout the whole kratom community. 95% of all kratom in the USA is imported from Indonesia. This ban would sky rocket the price of kratom in the USA to an unaffordable price for the average consumer. This would be a huge lose in the fight for kratom and the rights of people being allowed to use natural medicine rather than pharmaceuticals.

The AKA (American Kratom Association) is currently making trips to Indonesia to educate Indonesian officials on the benefits of kratom. These Indonesian officials have been fed information by the FDA and if the AKA and other kratom advocates can't convince these officials about the benefits of kratom this ban will go into affect The AKA has fought a long hard fight for kratom, winning many battles within the USA even when the FDA tried convincing the DEA to ban kratom back in 2016.

That is why High Sierra Herbals donated over 5% of all sales during the month of July to the AKA to help fight this Indonesian ban that the FDA is pushing for. By shopping at High Sierra Herbals you are helping keep kratom legal and available for the people who need it. We believe that everyone has the right to natural medicine and we want to keep it that way. If you would like to make a personal donation to the AKA you can do so through the link below and read the entire article written by the C.M. "Mack" Haddow of the AKA.
